Do all new Escapes being produced have a non-opening "Emergency Window"? If so, why would ETI consider such a window for a camper?

Hi Swdolak, Please see the following link to a Q&A session wherein Karl covers this topic: https://youtu.be/0UQYN8bwPGo?t=608
Both types (Framed/Frameless) of Emergency Exit Windows are opening, however, there are some key differences between the two. The Framed (Standard) Emergency Exit Window is opening, but does not feature a bug-screen or a strut to hold the window open. The Frameless (Optional) Emergency Exit Window opens and features a bug screen and strut to hold the window open.
The reason for the difference is RVIA regulations. Essentially, the regulations for the specifications of Emergency Exit Windows now states that the window must be unobstructed (no bug screen) and cannot have a strut to hold the window open. The Frameless Emergency Exit window has been grandfathered in (for the time being) and can still be installed on trailers. However, the Framed Emergency Exit Window was discontinued, with a similar replacement taking its place. This replacement is subject to the aforementioned regulations. Please send us an email at sales@escapetrailer.com if you have any further questions.
