We have a 17A on order with a build date of 9-6-22. We are going to get the full “Off Grid Power” package and would like to get two lithium batteries wired in parallel rather than two 6 volt batteries wired in series. Currently the only option for lithium is a single battery in the 17A. I’m assuming this is due to the size of the Go Power lithium battery, the size of the box to hold it, and limited mounting space on the rear bumper? BattleBorn batteries makes a 12 volt 100 ah GC2 size battery that is a direct replacement for 6 volt golfcart batteries.
Can ETI get BattleBorn batteries? Can we purchase them and have them shipped to you for installation? If not, is it possible to specify on the build sheet that lithium batteries will be used in the trailer, have the trailer set up with dual 6 volt GC2 battery boxes (and batteries if necessary) along with lithium related items like a DC-DC inverter (current converter/charger) compatible with lithium batteries?
Finally, thank you for having such an informative well designed and easy to use website. I’ve found answers to most of my questions there and through the Escape Forum and trailer owners’ community.
Thanks Daryl. So at what point do I get a configuration specialist? Or, do I have to seek them out?
Hi Sherby, thanks for your question and comments! This is a pretty detailed process and we ask that you consult with your configuration specialist on this. They will need to work with our production team to see if your request is feasible.
