Hello! I've been watching the orientation videos on the solar, battery, inverter systems, etc. These are all fantastic videos and I love that Escape has provided them. Escape is very clear that the AC can only be run on shore power, solar only charges the batteries and the inverter should be left off when not in use.
I don't have any of these limitations in my current trailer and I'm trying to figure out how to order my 17B trailer so that I can easily incorporate my existing electrical capabilities into it. Is a wiring diagram available I can begin design work in advance of working with my customization specialist? Would also be nice to know which outlets are ganged together in case I want to run space heaters in lieu of propane.
Changes I'm looking to make are:
-Change (1) 190W panel to (2) 340W panels (requires 10/2 wire from the roof)
-Change PWM charge controller to Victron MPPT
-All 120V outlets fed from inverter (no x-fer switch needed, see below)
-Change 1500W inverter to 2000W Victron inverter/charger/power manager (manages shore power & batteries to meet charge/demand needs)
-Add 12V/450W Cruise n Comfort split system air conditioner (what kind of distribution block is available to tie into?)
Thank you!
-Chris
Hello @Chris Trone,
I will have you direct these questions towards your customization specialist once the ordering process begins.
