I have a 17B on order and I'm wondering about the actual width. It is listed at 6' 8", but is that the measurement of the box or the actual width taking lights, awning supports, grab handles, etc. into account? The reason I'm asking is that the gate opening to my driveway is 7' exactly and I need to know if I need to widen it to accommodate the new member of the family. I'm using an electric tug with my current tent trailer and can "thread the needle" quite well with an inch to spare on each side.

Dear Ian, great question! 17B width: including manual awning, grab handle, exterior light above the dump valve: approximately 83-84" (just shy of 7 feet). The manual awning arms accounts for approximately 2" at the belly band and slightly more if we measure above as they extend in an angle. Choosing the power awning instead would save around 1" at the belly band (this is taking the grab handle into account, too). I offer you to book a Personal Tour with Harrison to verify my measurements https://escapetrailer.com/personal-virtual-visit/ and go over any additional questions. Sincerely, Samuel
