    What are the Torsion Axles' rated capacity? On the 5.0 TA.

    The Dexter torsion axles are rated for 3500 lbs. Click here for more information regarding the torsion axle.

    @Dustin@Escape Thank you Dustin. This information is very useful, so these must be the Torflex #10/F axles. That now leads me to a part two, is the difference of 1500 lbs between axle capacity, and GVWR, strictly a safety margin? Or is there another reason for the disparity? Again, thank you for your answer.

    Hey @larry_grillett,

    There are more factors taken into consideration when coming up with the GVWR of a trailer then just axle capacity. As well using a smaller axle would have exceeded weight capacities with minimal cargo carrying capacities.
