Look at the 19' Escape floor plan. If this trailer were stretched by 20-24" on the bed end, there would be room for twin beds running lengthwise, each of which could be 30" wide, with an 18-22"* space in the middle for bed access and a shared bedside table or dresser.
This would allow either person to get in and out of bed without one of them having to crawl over the other one, as is the case in all double beds running side to side. There is still plenty of space for overhead storage above each bed.
If this layout interests you, please let Karl and the rest of the Escape team know.
(The planned 23' layout includes twin beds, but it is 23' long and a fair bit heavier. We don't feel the need for a 2-part bathroom and don't like the proposed kitchen/dinette layout. But that is a discussion for later).
* space between the beds would depend on the interior width of a new twin-bedded trailer. The Escape 19' is about 79" wide inside. The current 21' Escapes are 82" wide inside. (Based on the online "interior dimension" info).
Dear ctrkeith,
Great to see you are studying our floorplans. Thank you for your suggestions on a twin bed configuration. Currently, no new floorplans are under development other than the E23. Although we are already contemplating on which floorplan to take on next, it would most likely not be a new E19' floorplan but rather a floorplan size we currently do not offer. More to come on this presumably after the E23 has been built up and gone into a production process.
