Can you climb onto the roof of an Escape in order to conduct annual cleaning, maintenance or repairs? (specifically the 5.0TA)

Escape Trailer does not recommend climbing on the roof of any model. Whenever possible it is always better to work off a free standing ladder however, if absolutely necessary it is recommend to use a piece of 2" foam and a 1/2" sheet of plywood on top of that spanning to the lower portion of the roof to disperse the weight evenly.

@Dustin@Escape Thank you Dustin. Yes … We certainly don’t want to get on the roof unless it’s absolutely necessary. Your recommendation is pretty much what we do with our old tin roofed fifth wheel when we need to work where we can’t reach from below, minus the 1/2” foam board. We’re not concerned about scratching its finish as we would be with the smooth fibreglass of the Escape trailer.
