    Preventing Freezing Damage?

    in Maintenance & Troubleshooting

Sometimes you get caught in unexpectedly cold conditions (mountains, etc.) where freezing water lines can be an issue. Assuming your trailer does not have the underbody insulation or heat pads, is there a way to make sure a night below freezing doesn't cause waterline damage? Would it be a simple matter of turning off the water pump and opening the sink faucet for air/water expansion?

    Hello @spdivr

The only way to be sure the trailer water lines and fittings do not freeze is the fully winterize with either air or antifreeze. The pump will be the most susceptible to freezing and should be completely blown out or filled with antifreeze.
