    Winterizing - electrical considerations

    in Maintenance & Troubleshooting

We understand the ETI winterizing video for plumbing. We are storing our e19 in Edmonton. We are looking for advice on winterizing considerations for electrical, namely storage of the battery as it relates to the ETI installed solar panel. Do we remove the batteries? Can the solar and batteries be left on if there is access to sun? Are there any other suggested procedures? Thanks in advance.

    Hello @Donald Michaud

Whenever there is a chance of the batteries freezing it is recommended to remove the batteries. Even with solar there is a chance that the panels get covered due to dirt or snow preventing the batteries from charging allowing them to freeze. Once the batteries have been removed tape the solar connections with electrical tape to prevent them from touching.
