    Greetings from San Diego (17B)

    in Meet Escapees

My wife Ann and I are almost retired and waiting for a 17B to seal the deal. Great to see this forum come alive and the direct responses from Escape staff is a bonus. We have been tent campers for many years, followed by camping in a small tent trailer. Wind was often a problem, especially with the tent trailer. We're looking forward to the new creature comforts offered by a fiberglass trailer from Escape. Thanks in advance for everyone generously sharing info and tips on the forum. We will be soaking it all in while we wait.

We also ordered a 17B and it's our 1st trailer and we are getting ours in Dec. What towing attachments will people use? We will tow with a 2019 6 cylinder Kia Sorento AWD.

Hi Gary and Jodi. Small world. I grew up in Imperial Beach, my wife in Chicago. Went to SDSU where we met and moved to La Mesa, now Point Loma. Its hard to leave San Diego. Congrats on your 5.0. we sooooo want to be that far along on the production schedule. On the schedule for Sep 2022. I think I will know everything there is to know about the Escape 17 by then. Nice to meet you.

Good to see you here and congratulations on your first fiberglass RV. My wife and I both grew up in San Diego (La Mesa for me, Bonita for the wife). Highschool sweethearts now going on 46 years. Our 5.0 is set to begin production any day now (pickup August 13 in Sumas, WA). We transitioned from a 16' Casita. You're going to love your new rig and all that it allows you to do and see. Perhaps our paths will cross someday. Between the two of us we still have lots of family still in San Diego.
