Having seen the finish degrade on our old Scamp, I want to assure the longevity on our 2019 Escape 17B. Does anyone have any recommendations on the best/easiest products to use to maintain the look of our fiberglass?
We use a mild carwash soap, and a bucket. Try to avoid the pressure washer unless there is some serious buildup after a long trip.
In the past, I have seen a lot of people use Gel Gloss, or Poliglow, are there any others out there to recommend? I would prefer a hand polish, not looking to buy a dedicated buffer...
Thanks in Advance!

We had a 16' Casita (bought new in 2007 and sold in 2020) and we always used a power washer. Just don't use the "jet" stream option (15º to 30º wide spray nozzle worked best). Combined that with hand washing with "Dawn" dishsoap. Waxed it 1-2x/year depending on use and always used Maguires marine cleaning and wax products as they are designed for fiberglass boats. It looked nearly brand new when we sold it. I've recently read that the Maguires Ultimate Liquid Wax is a great product to keep the gelcoat shining. I would highly recommend you stay away from Poliglow or any other "gelcoat protector" surface treatments. They look good when they're first applied but there's lots of negative commentary online on how difficult those products are to remove in 3-5 years when they start breaking down (as they inevitably will).
